“Running” the Paid-Search Track at SMX East

With laptop and iPhone in hand, I am ready to hit the SMX East floor running. I typically don’t like to get that much exercise, but there are so many fascinating sessions I will have to run to catch them all.

This is my first SMX Conference, and I want to make sure that I take advantage of all the sessions I can. My main focus will be paid search, but I am most looking forward to the analytics sessions. In my opinion, clicks are nice, but it is what happens beyond the clicks that counts. I am a self-admitted geek when it comes to web analytics and the user’s actions beyond the click; honestly, these make me smile. And don’t get me wrong, there is a huge difference between quality clicks and just getting clicks. But we can get into that later.

What I hope to take home with me this week is insight into the perfect balance of quality clicks, better conversions through ad copy and keyword research tactics, along with utilizing analytics for better conversions through usability and behavior monitoring.
