Using Mobile to Talk About Mobile: TMPDM’s Local Search Study Comes Full Circle

Isn’t it cool when questions just sort of answer themselves? As a marketing analyst, I can’t think of anything more satisfying than when research data supports and — quite literally — speaks for itself.

Take our annual Local Search Study, for example. While the study itself has generated a significant amount of talk within the industry, it’s interesting to see where this talk is happening. Just in the past four business days, the study was mentioned in two industry blogs and in numerous tweets. A frequently recurring topic of interest during these cyberspace discussions? The study results illustrate the rise of the mobile platform as a serious contender in the local search arena.

But let’s take this just one step farther. From where do you think industry insiders are blogging and tweeting about mobile search? My guess is their mobile phones. I hope you can see where I’m going with this…
