Yahoo can get you one step closer to that delicious cheeseburger (or veggie burger!) you have been craving. They have recently rolled out a feature that allows users to search for a specific menu item instead of restaurant–especially helpful during times when you can’t figure out where you should go to get something to eat (a situation I am very familiar with).

Yahoo Search Update

On April 29th, Yahoo announced a new search index and algorithm update. This update will affect crawling and ranking algorithm patterns within the next couple of days. This update may cause some ranking changes and page shuffling while in progress. The update is expected to complete within the next few days. The last major Yahoo update occurred on March 11th.

Google’s Street View vs. Bing’s Streetside

Google recently released local-business annotations in Street View, improving the mapping tool’s content so customers can learn more about what they’re seeing when conducting a local search. Local-business listings now appear as small icons connected to the buildings in the Street View image. When clicking on the icons, searchers see business listings as overlays on the maps.
