On the heels of Search Engine Strategies (SES) in San Francisco, we at 15miles are already looking ahead to follow-up conferences in September and October. The first one is Directional Media Strategies 2010 (DMS), which takes place September 14 through 16 in Dallas, Texas.
The theme of this year’s conference is this: By 2014, 39 percent of Yellow Pages revenue will derive from digital media. That percentage is not decreasing. Certainly, we live in changing times, as consumer behaviors continue to shift toward digital media. While print media is not obsolete, reliance on and usage of it is becoming more scarce, especially as today’s youth grow older to take the stage as your target consumers. So, how will your company adapt to these changes to remain relevant among digital-minded consumers?
On day two of the DMS, 15miles President Gregg Stewart will speak on a panel in the session “The Future of Digital Yellow Pages” (1:30 p.m.). The session will hone in on print publishers to determine if their business models are viable. The key takeaway will be lessons in what the Yellow Pages industry needs to do in the near future to survive.
We look forward to networking with you at DMS 2010. Register for the conference.
