Search Insider Summit :: Day 3

The conference’s wrap up day had another good agenda.  Topics ranging from managing brands with search to thinking about search globally.  The most interesting session I attended was the Intersection of Social Media and Search.  Social media seems to be the biggest topic in the space today as the evolution of Web 2.0 continues and refines.  There was a great panel collected to discuss the topic:

Search Insider Summit :: Day 2

There was more discussion concerning the future of the search space and how to make sense of all the recent acquisition activity.  Jordan Rohan of RBC Capital Markets was the keynote speaker for the Tuesday session and provided a good look into the search marketplace from an investment perspective.  I thought he did a tremendous job summarizing the dynamic marketplace as it sits today.  Here are the highlights from his presentation:

Search Insider Summit :: Day 1

For those of you who have been to SES conferences in the past, there are definitely distinct differences at the Search Insider Summit. The first observation is the number of people. This conference is definitely more intimate. My second observation is the audience. There is a higher ratio of marketers in the audience which adds a different dimension to the conversation and speaker agendas. My last observation is the content. As the SES conferences have a variety of tactical and skill level sessions, this conference leans towards the strategic. It’s been an interesting first day; here are some of the highlights. (more…)
