    Nicholas Grohne

As hard as it is to believe, there have been reports that sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter drive more traffic to websites than Google; and businesses are beginnng to take notice. Some have projected that social media will be the only growth sector in advertising in ‘09.  The rise in social media interest by businesses is in large part due to the state of the economy.  Companies that are struggling are looking for opportunities that are economical to create, tuned, and targeted.  Some believe this rise in popularity can be compared to the same rise in search advertising that  happened at the beginning of the decade and are hypothesizing about the future of social media.

  6. Think Before You Link!

    Josh McCoy

Many have heard the time-honored saying that if something sounds too good to be true than it probably is. This is the mindset that should be taken into consideration when forming a proper inbound linking strategy. There are easy ways to accrue a large amount of inbound links to a site overnight, without much effort, and that is why it is falls in the realm of “Black Hat SEO“. It may seem tempting to take the shortcut and participate in link farming or linking to sites which have no relevance to your content. Please though, do not be a “lazy linker!” Proper inbound linking strategy is just that: strategy.  It takes time and involves thought as to how you will attain quality inbound links.
