With the holiday season feverishly underway, ratings and reviews will more than likely be utilized by both businesses and consumers alike now more than ever. Why? Well, as Gregg Stewart discusses in his latest ClickZ article, “Attract Local Searches and Boost Search Results Rankings,” properly leveraged consumer ratings and reviews have an immense impact on local search, making them, as Gregg says, “the gifts that keep on giving.” Read the full article…

Cory Grassell
Research from Unity Marketing suggests that Gen Y may upset the holiday-card market, potentially spelling the end of printed yuletide greetings. Like other changes affecting the print industry in recent years, this trend will, of course, cause brands like Hallmark and American Greetings to adapt to the digital needs of the marketplace. As we head into the final month of 2010 — marked by the make-or-break season of holiday sales — marketers are taking notice of such needs, as well as notes about how to boost sales in an increasingly interactive marketplace.
